I will be getting everything ready in the next few weeks. I have tons of work coming up so not able to get out anytime soon. Already have my stands up so the hard part is done.

I have my antifreeze soaked corn pile out. I've seen several deer stumbling around already looking very ill. I will probably start harvesting early next week. I like deer meat, but don't like hunting, so this takes alot of the difficulty and boredom out of the equation.

I will be out. I have about 3 hours I can hunt Saturday morning and then again on Sunday evening. There is a 10 pointer and 12 pointer running in the area of my stand.

Yea, it really slows them down. It puts them in a "drunken" state. Makes it very difficult for them to run from ya.1_beast;492717 wrote:anti freeze soaked corn? You cant be serious? I have NEVER heard this.

"so I get my permits and some fresh deer pee..."
That sounds like the beginning of a Country Music Song.

Give the deer a gun and teach them how to shoot...then we'll call it a sport.

BTW, it's only hunting if you actually go out and stalk the animal. Not hunting if you sit in a tree, soaked in deer piss, w/ rattles and grunts.

Won't be out the first day but will be out. Got a used Horton for 150 last month so hopefully I will have some luck. Be hunting Fairfield and Guernsey counties and possibly Pickaway this year.
