I'm trying to get ahold of a program that can track stats, mainly career, for me as I do my high schools football website. I'm getting annoyed at having to input via excel and blah blah.

I also would like to be able to eat for the next month. I'm only a college student. I already asked the HC and they don't have an extra license of whatever program they use.

What program do they use? Try downloading from a torrent site.

I actually can't remember what program they use, but I've tried searching for various programs on the torrent sites i.e. statcrew, dakstats, etc to no avail

I would say you could probably get away with excel using it, but I'm sure you want something that's already got the formulas figured out and everything so you can just point, click, enter info and go from there....

Microsoft Excel. :D

What exactly are you looking for? I use "BBstatbook" for my softball stats. Does a pretty good job. Maybe check their maker and see if they have a football counterpart?

I'd be surprised if there wasn't an Excel template out there to do stats.

First thing that popped into my head was, this is simple Excel.

It has been simple excel, but I'm looking for a way to make it easier on me. The problem I have with excel is if I input a game stats separately and connected them to season and then to career, the second I reorganize it no longer matches up on all the sheets. So for me to do it, I have to do it all by hand. So it's really not simple excel anymore especially when you start adding up years and more and more players. Doing it by hand is manageable but I just don't have the time or patience to do it that way anymore.

I just looked at bbstatbook, I'll have to play around with it to see if I like it. One thing I can already tell is that it in correctly lists the "long" in the totals. i.e. if a player had a long reception of 60 one game and then a long of 45 the next game, they would say the long is 15 instead of 60. Also, doesn't allow for career stats I don't think.

What do you mean by reorganize? It should still match up as you are just referencing cells.

If you sort one sheet, the other sheets don't adjust their references.

what i meant is(i was confusing in my wording), is that say i have a career sheet, a season1 sheet, and a season2 sheet, if I sort the career sheet, it will keep references. however, if I sort season1 or season2, the career sheet has incorrect references.

i would like to be able to track player 1, 2, 3, and 4 through games, seasons, and career. i don't think excel allows that to happen.
