How can a guy with these kind of numbers be considered as a high first round pick?

Nebraskas D is for real. I have never been that impressed with Locker though.

2 reasons....
1.) Blackshirts are fucking beasts....I said before the season that Nebraska would play for the national championship
2.) Potential, Physical tools/attributes

I would like to see what Locker could do with decent talent around him. Decent would be an upgrade.

Taylor Martinez is the real fucking deal. If and when Denard Robinson gets hurt in B10 play, I could see Martinez assuming the role of QB frontrunner for the Heisman

But he has failed miserably in all their games so far this year.

Locker vs:
BYU....20/37 266 yards 1TD passing 1TD rushing
Syracuse....22/33 289 yards 4TD passing
Nebraska....4/20 71 yards 1TD 2INT
One of these teams is not like the other. Nebraska has a pretty bad ass defense. Not only that, but that defense is geared towards shutting down passing teams and have done so against some big time quarterbacks. Colt McCoy, Landry Jones, Nick Foles, Jake Locker, all have had their asses handed to them by the Nebraska defense.
I think Washington was a decent team, and they were playing at home. When Locker is shut down they had no shot in this one.

I've never been that impressed with Locker and I think today Ryan Mallett proved himself as the best QB in college football.
Regarding Nebraska, they are sick! I think they have a very legitimate shot of running the table and playing in the NC. Would an addition they are going to be to the Big 10!

i've been a Mallett sackrider since last season.
This year he is 70-100 for 1081 yards 9 tds and 2 int, oh yeah, a rating of 186

Mallet is one hell of a QB. Locker is pretty good too and will still be a high draft pick. However, I think if Mallett would have gone against the defensive buzzsaw that Locker had to endure today, Mallett would be out of the heisman talk as well.thedynasty1998;488681 wrote:I've never been that impressed with Locker and I think today Ryan Mallett proved himself as the best QB in college football.

We'll get to see this saturday in regards to Mallett. I think he's a hell of a QB as well, and for the last few years he reminds me a LOT of the guy I'm watching right now, Joe Flacco...cannon arm, can make big throws, kind of a douchebag lol...In terms of Locker, I've never understood the hype around him. He got hyped up because they beat USC last year, but his body of work over his career isn't anything all that impressive. He reminds me a lot of guys named Ryan Leif and Todd Marinovich. ANd I think we know how those guys worked out in the NFL.the_system;488819 wrote:Mallet is one hell of a QB. Locker is pretty good too and will still be a high draft pick. At least he struggled against a legit D/team... Jerrod Johnson put up an 11/31 with 1 TD and 4 INT against Florida International. No good for a guy considered to potentially a top 2 round pick.

Pelini is making that his staple making good QB's look very average. Also he has a bunch of headhunters on D as well.
