I have watched Tennessee's last two games. Against Oregon and now against Florida. They are very young, but have plenty of talent on that team.
This team will be ranked in two seasons and competing at a top level again. They are making mistakes that should be considered normal for such a young team, but again the talent and athleticism is there.
Not sure if there are any Vol fans here and if not then the SEC fans better watch out in the very near future. I am liking what I am seeing in the young Vol's they are going to be tough to handle.

Yes I agree, they are very young and have a pretty good class coming in. They will be very fun to watch in the years to come.

If they leave Dooley alone down there...he will rebuild them into a powerhouse

They played pretty well against Oregon, at least until the 2nd half started. Didn't get to watch them play today but I was impressed last week

They played pretty good today. The Fake punt killed them. It was 10-10 ealry 3rd.

Well like in the Oregon game against Florida they had moments of brilliance and also made mistakes that youthful players will make. They are going to be a very fun team to watch grow and develop. I hope they continue to televise them so we can watch the progress of this young team.

It was a great call. Meyer is 8 for 8 on fake punts while head coach at Florida.

and yes Tennessee is a sleeping giant. We'll see if Dooley can take them back to being a power house in college football.

Tenn is BAD, period. Oregon destroyed them last week. And the play of the game was Simms stupid INT when Tenn was within the 5yd line.

I don't think this was the debate. The debate was that they WILL return to prominence, even in the SEC where it's tough to even crack the top half of the conference. The Vols under Dooley WILL be back in a few years...and I hate to admit it.

Not really trolling, but he clearly didn't read the topic before responding and didn't add anything productive to the thread. The title wasn't about Tennessee right now...it's quite obvious they aren't a good team. However, it's also a transition year for them and their performance on the field reflects this.

Vandy's likeable coach got his first Gatorade bath today winning over Ole Miss Masoli Nutt. They are the #1 team in Tenn. hahaha
Meyer said he likes Dooley, they are friendly off the field. It can be a classy rivalry. I sat on the edge of the Vols section last year and they were all cool. If any of you know "Junior & Lulu", from the 'priceless' farks, they are Vol celebs to Gator fans, the guy is always buying cars on Barrett-Jackson, he is loaded. (Not from the Junior & Lulu fame).
just for laughs

Dooley recruited Lousiana Tech into a 4-8 season in the WAC by his 3rd season, so forgive me for being skeptical of him.

Yes, CBF did read the entire thread. And this comment is my exact thoughts as well. Tenn is bad and Dooley hasn't proven jackshit as a head coach of a big time program. To say this is a sleeping giant and Dooley is going to do this and that is WAY too premature.Mulva;489350 wrote:Dooley recruited Lousiana Tech into a 4-8 season in the WAC by his 3rd season, so forgive me for being skeptical of him.
Oh wait...maybe since Dooley took his players into the shower to show them how to properly shower, this is a sign of greatness!! lol

I dont see Tenn being in the top 5 of the SEC as long as he coaches. Sorry.
