So its Saturday and I am looking for something to do tonight. Question is would you go 70 miles (the nearest movie theater) to see The Expendables? I go there about once a month to see something, but is the expendables worth it?

Never saw it, but IMO I wouldn't drive 70 miles to see any movie, but if you're bored then you're bored....
How about the 'The Town'? That looks good, I think.

Agreed with friend, I'd watch it online if that's the only movie showing.

Actually the main point is to get the hell out of town. That 70 miles usually takes me about 50 minutes, so don't think that it's like going from Columbus to Mansfield. It is the next town down the road.

Saw "The Expendables"...although it was decent, it'll be exactly what you think it'll be, nothing more, nothing less. I am going to see The Town tonight though and am so pumped for this one...my vote would be The Town, even before I see it.

Agreed about the Expendables. Full of mayhem and carnage. Really good movie, but I don't know about 70 just to see it. Maybe you could go early and see both of them.

Here's a better question: You have a friend, she's decently hot, and she wants to hook up but she lives 70 miles away. Do you make THAT drive? I think I would do it once, but not repeatedly.

the town is directed by ben affleck whos first movie gone baby gone was amazing it is by the same studio that did the departed. The movie stars ben and jermeny renner (the hurt locker) and people are already saying this movie should put ben among the best producers in hollywood after hitting it out of the park on his first 2 movies

Did Affleck direct Gigli or whatever that monstrosity was? I think he had some role in the production of it.

Gigli was written and directed by Martin Brest but ben did star in it. The only movies he has produced is Gone Baby Gone and The town and a couple shorts. He has also written The Town, Gone Baby Gone, Good Will Hunting, and the tv show Push, Nevada

It's saturday man. Crack a 12/18/24 pack and watch football. You missed a shitload of good games that won't ever be played again for a movie you can see pretty much any time!!!

Busy this morning and I live over 300 miles from Laramie, so that wouldn't have worked. Besides, I knew Wyoming would get their ass kicked, so eh.

You would not do well here.

I ended up going out of boredom, it actually wasn't too bad.

That about right. I usually cruise in the low 80s on the interstate.

Affleck is a tremendous talent in Hollywood....just not on the acting side lol.

I really hope he gets into full-time writing, directing, and producing.

I would agree with you about his acting in most movies, however roles like he had in "The Town" fit him perfectly.
