Saw the one in Sugarcreek earlier this summer. Bounced over my house and touched down again about a half mile from my house downing trees and ripping up a local business (Skyline) before ripping a path from there over RT 39.

Didn't see one but saw the aftermath of a destroyed high school, loss of lives and homes..among other things in Lake Township this summer. I wish I could forget. I doubt the people who were rescued from the wreakage of thier own homes to discover their neighbors homes gone and lives lost thought they were fortunate to witness a tornado.

Got pretty crazy in Athens today. Guess one hit on East State St. and supposedly on Court St.? Went to Wal-Mart on East State and power was out and stuff was all over the place so it wouldn't surprise me. Everyone in my resident hall was outside watching the clouds and rooting for a tornado... kinda funny to watch.

I have seen 2 one in southern Michigan when I was 17 and the other near Amanda in 2003. Oddly enough I don't believe Vinton or Morgan counties have seen one in Ohio.

You are correct! My hood (Brooklyn Heights) wasn't hit too hard, but east Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island got slammed (well, for this part of the country anyway ... I am sure people from Iowa are laughing
