Abilene's getting back one of its injured players - in fact, their best player - this week. Starting tailback and Oklahoma State commitment Herschel Sims has been nursing a Grade 1 shoulder separation, but he is expected to return to the starting lineup against Plant.

"I told some people if it appears it's shady out there Thursday night, it's because of this lineman," said Warren of the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Michigan commitment. "He's the biggest person I've ever seen. Why doesn't he just go on to the NFL instead of Michigan? He's huge."
Of course, Plant's other two Division I commitments, Phillip Ely and James Wilder, also stood out.

The first three weeks of the 2010 season have seen the Abilene High Eagles take on a bevy of highly touted college prospects.

After opening against Belton quarterback David Ash (Texas), the Eagles were tested by the Franklinton, La., duo of quarterback Terrence Magee (LSU) and running back Josh Robinson (Mississippi State). Last week saw Cocoa, Fla., running back Chevelle Buie (Rutgers) break loose for three long touchdowns as AHS suffered its first loss since 2008.

Chevelle Buie was highly overrated. There were others on that team that were much better players.
