I figured I'd get this started as we're still deciphering the blackbox recorder from the wreckage that was Week One.

I know KC is looking for revenge for last year, but this still will be a weak special teams we're playing against. Their defense was open in the short middle most of the game I watched. Holding onto the ball, pounding it on the ground with Harrison and Hillis. Mixing it up with Cribbs and Wallace, we should do very well.

KC is coming off a short week, a huge emotional let down from a home Monday Night opener against a division opponent in the rechristening of their stadium to travel to Cleveland. After their big win, we can expect an emotional let down on their part. And the Browns are going to be pumped to put the TB debacle behind them and get up for the home opener.

What say you?

It depends on the Browns coaching staff. Rob Ryan is coaching the hell out of this team, I can't say the same for the rest though. Abandoning the run, not getting the ball in your playmakers hands, etc... That shit is inexcusable.

Wallace QB's, we have a shot...Delhomme, no win.

Unfortunately a leopard doesn't change it's spots. Delhomme has always been a gunslinger when all I think the Browns want from him is to manage the game. His mind still has that gunslinger mentality but his age and physical skillset say differently. With the way the O-Line has played (very disappointed in the left side), we need a QB that is mobile and can make something happen. With Delhomme's injury he's a sitting duck.

I went with KC by 3.

Exactly, I was following the TB game on my phone, and saw that Harrison had 40 some yards on like 5 carries. I check it again later, and he finishes w/ 9 carries?? What the hell? That's just poor coaching.

On to the game, I expect a letdown from the Chiefs, and the Browns to play fairly well in their home opener. The Chiefs have big play potential though. If the Browns do not give up any big plays, I think they win by a field goal.

I think it will be a very close game, I want to say Browns bc its a home game, but the Browns outside of 2007 have sucked at home. Outside of two big plays on Monday night, KC didn't do anything that scared me. I think the Browns have the ability to win and Wallace gives us the best chance IMO. Just like I was saying when we signed Jake, he's a bum and will be a bum. I dont give a shit about his "veteran leadership" as that was Trent Dilfer's excuse. Delbum is in a walking boot, so I hope its a sign that he wont play. He doesn't deserve to play after last week. I also hope the Matador and Porkchop sit in favor of Lauvao and Pashos. Thats the best OLine combo we have. Giving the rock to Harrison needs to happen. 9 carries last week was pathetic.

Off topic but has anyone else noticed that it looks like Mangini has shed some weight? Now, if he would only shed some losses....

KC's offense isn't anything special. They won last week with defense and special teams. Well we have one of (if not the) best special teams unit in the NFL and I don't see us losing that battle two weeks in a row. As for the offense, I place just as much blame on Daboll as Delhomme. Up 4 points, QB is hurting and you're throwing the ball? Stupid decision and it cost us the game. Pound the ball, run some clock and force Tampa to make stops. It is the home opener which should fire the players up. That combined with Kansas City having a let down after an emotional win leaves me cautiously optimistic this week.

That's because Holmgren beats him to the buffet.

Even as a Browns fan I say KC in a close one.

I don't see us moving much on KC's defense as they looked darn good against SD.

I see this as a low scoring game, which is the only reason Cleveland has a chance.

KC just really impressed me Monday night, especially their defense, STs, and running game. They are as likely to get 300+ yards passing as we are (aka slim and none).

I'll take the Browns by 2 td's.

KC didn't impress me much against an overrated Chargers team with a rookie RB, suspect defense, and no Vincent Jackson. The Browns outplayed Tampa for most of the game, but a few mental miscues by both Delhomme and the coaching staff coupled with a couple spells of bad luck (Robo's catch that was just barely out of bounds) led to a heartbreaking loss. I expect the Browns to iron out some of those wrinkles this week and come out strong against a Chiefs team that is coming off of a short week.

Let's not forget what Harrison and Cribbs did to the Chiefs the last time these two teams played.

Was just reading what some of the OBR Insiders had to say about the game. TB was supposedly putting as many as 10 men in the box, knowing that Delhomme was gimpy, daring the Browns to beat them in the vertical game (TB also took away the short routes). Delhomme failed to execute. The Browns had matchups that they could have exploited but Mangini's stubborness in removing Delhomme squashed them. A more athletic QB could have kept the TB defense honest.

Robiskie needs to get his feet down.

Hearing that DQ Jackson will start to practice this week and will likely play NEXT week. I'm not a big fan of DQ but he's gotta be better than Barton.

Also hearing it's very likely that Delhomme will play but that Wallace will see snaps.

Hopefully he gets his chance to be a "marked man" on Sunday...

As a side note, fans on the KC message boards are praying that Delhomme is healthy enough to play. They want no part of a healthy Wallace.

So you think Cleveland is going to stomp a team simply because it's the home opener?

The Browns haven't had a "home field advantage" since 2007 and that may have been the ONLY year (maybe also 2002 when they last made the playoffs) since they returned.

True that BR...since the Browns returned the only two teams who have fewer home wins are the Lions and the Texans (who started in 2002). In the past 5 years, only 3 teams have fewer home wins. In 2002 we were just 3-5 at home.

i think it will be:

KC 20
CLE 6

Cleveland plays really good, but i think KC will break 1 play offensively and 1 ST play and get to the house.

Cleveland's Offense is really bad (or it looked it in week 1). the o-line, which i thought would be pretty good, looked horrible.
