My buddy just called and wanted me to go with him to this event. I'm definitely gonna try to go. The guest speakers are Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani, Joe Montana, Zig Ziglar, John Walsh(AMW), and Jim Tressel(via satellite). Seems like it should be a pretty cool day. Anyone else goin'??

They had a similar one in Raleigh that I wanted to go to but couldn't make it. I heard it was completely sold out and makes traffic anywhere a pain in the ass.

The ads say its like $9.95 for your whole office?

Sounds like something justin and his mods could use....

All the motivation I need comes from the two Dilbert cartoons in my cubicle.

Motivation Fairy: If you work hard, you will gain the respect of your peers.
Wally: If I avoid the stress of hard work, I will outlive my peers.
Motivation Fairy: Hard work can kill me?
Wally: If you're lucky.

Boss: If you work hard, you can achieve great things...And then you die.
Everyone else: *in tears*
Boss: It never pays to mix reality with inspirational speeches.

THE SECRET TO SUCCESS!!!

I attended this today, and it was very interesting. Guest speakers included:

Joe Montana
Rick Belluzzo(ex-Pres & CEO of Microsoft)
Lou Holtz
Jim Tressel
Colin Powell
Rudy Giuliani
Bob Kittell
Krish Dhanam
Tom Walsh

There was another guy, can't remember his name, but he was a pompous, arrogant ass that sounded like every real estate informercial you've ever heard.

Loved Lou, but the two best speakers of the day were Kittell & Dhanam. Kittell speaks about stocks and investments, very interesting, and teaches you how to take care of your own money by being your own money manager. Dhanam is just an all around great speaker. He's spoken all over the world, and has alot of great stories to tell, including the time he met Mother Theresa. If you ever have an opportunity to attend one of these events, I would recommend it. It does drag on at times w/ some useless stuff, but all in all it's a good experience.

It was just sad and awkward to have Zig up there. He fell a few years ago and suffers from acute short term memory loss, so they would ask him a question, and he would just say the same things over again. Very sad that they had him out there.

Yea zig is in pretty bad shape. Kind of depressing.

I enjoyed hearing the guy from India speak. He was the best speaker of the day imo

I had the opportunity to meet Zig Ziglar a number of years ago. I still consider that an honor. Sorry to hear he is slipping mentally. I wonder how old he is now a days?
