Have a feeling it'll be tougher for the Bengals. Baltimore's defense will beat the shit out of their skill players. The question will be if the Ravens can score enough to offset the 10-17 points Cinci MIGHT get, as they struggled to finish drives tonight.

Every day that Carson walks this planet, he seems more a shell of his former self than the previous day. Number of weapons for him doesn't matter if he's ineffective. And Baltimore can make mediocre QBs worse than ineffective (and right now, Carson's mediocre until he proves he isn't).

Believe me, I'd prefer it if the Bengals won. Assuming Polamalu and Smith stay healthy (a big question mark considering recent histories), I'd say the Steelers bigger threat is the Ravens this year. Bengals jumped from mediocre to good last year...this year, I think they're falling back to their usual "8-8 = success!" mode. Have fun with the Ocho-TO Show if Carson can't remember what he was doing on the field to be successful back in the day. Tabloids will...

When the offensive line WAS able to protect Carson he was finding everyone, Chad, T.O., Shipley, Gresham & Benson and ended up w/ 345 yards.... But Carson got himself in trouble by not throwing the ball away soon enough or throwing into coverage. I think we'll have Caldwell back for Week 2 as well which if Carson is finding his receivers that should open it up for Benson/Scott to run the ball...

Key to this game is how well the O-Line plays and if the Defense can create turnovers like we did last year vs. Baltimore. These two teams are very familiar with each other so there won't be many surprises.... Bengals need to get pressure on Flacco and let J Jo & Hall cover Boldin & TJ

Bengals at home should take it by 3-7

Tough one for me. I'd love for the Bungals to go 0-2 but hate to see the Ravens go 2-0.

Cinci will bounce back. They sucked ass the first week but -2 plays the int return and the punt return and we were there. Until Brady retires or something the Pats will always be a top 3 AFC team. That being said I think they bounce back and take it from Ravens. Its at home, and we know how to beat these guys. Bengals 23 Ravens 20 Benson gets 100

Having Brian Leonard back is big for 3rd Down and shorts. He is great at receiving the shovel pass an taking it 10-15 yards.

I actually think the Bengals bounce back in a big way and really whip on the Baltimore defense. Bob Bratkowski, for all of his flaws over the years, has smacked the Ravens defense in the mouth more than any team over the last decade. This game is too important for Cincy to drop at home.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but to me, a very important tidbit you didn't mention is that the vast majority of Carson's yardage came after the score had become 31-3 (ie: blowout city where he passed about every down in order to cut the deficit to a "mere" two touchdowns). Resulting in numbers that might be great for fantasy owners, but are meaningless in reality. When things were closer than the "if we stuff-n-score 'em a time or two, we're in this thing" phase, he/his line/receivers/backs didn't get the job done. Anyone with any talent can put up numbers after the other team starts coasting because they know, barring a miracle, they have the game won.

I don't think Cincy is going to whip on Baltimore's D. They may win but I doubt they do any kind of whipping.

Bengals that are Inactive for the game: CB Ghee, HB Leonard, LB Rivers, C Stephens, DE Fanene, WR Simpson, DE Dunlap. ..... Not having Rivers is pretty big too

Ravens that are Inactive for the game: WR Stallworth, CB Miller, LB Phillips, DT Jones, NT Cody, OT Gaither, DT Divens, DE Kruge

It doesn't make sense that the former owner of the Raves would hate to see them go 2-0.
