the hip-hop world was turned upside down, as Tupac Shakur died. Shakur died six days after being shot in the chest, pelvis, right hand and thigh.

I remember the day. WL-S had a JV football game with Triad. I was a Sophomore and snotbubbles was a Freshman. Snot cried that day. The gayest tears I've ever seen.

Not sure if this is the forum for that, I tend to agree. A lot of people make Tupac out to be this guy who was trying to change the world for the better, and I just don't see it. With that said, I do love his music.

Are you trying to change the world for the better or should you die too? He was just doing his thing. To say the world is a better place cuz of his death is beyond ignorant.

Tupac was a gangster, started a coast to coast "gang war", served a prison sentence for sexual assault and rapped about it. Yet people want to give him a pass and act like he was trying to change the world for the better.
I like Tupacs music, but I have no problem with people viewing him as a thug, which he was.

Yes he was a thug but I did enjoy his music. I just watched ESPN's 30 for 30 on Tyson and Tupac, pretty good.

You're the first person I've heard try to say Tupac was trying to change the world for the better. He was a product of his environment and rapped about it. He didn't affect you in the least bit, so being glad he's dead is ignorant.

-There...fixed it for you. Holding Tupac in ANY kind of regard is wrong...not because of his "music"...but for what he did while he was here. What he most certainly didn't do, and his negative effect on the people around him, which, as someone mentioned, he spent time in prison for. RIP? Whatever.

it's sad when anybody dies (except if his name happens to be Bin Laden), but you'll excuse me if I don't shed any tears

Death aside, Tupac was a pretty overrated rapper.
