Back In Black, without that song or that album, AC/DC would have died.

It would be practically impossible for me to pick just one.
I'd like something by Lindsey Buckingham, he had a really good decade.
Maybe a Talking Heads track...I don't know, if I started, I'd never stop.

Sister Christian and Sweet Child O' Mine would be 2 strong candidates.
But there are 700 one hit wonders I would have to consider as well.

My first thought was Sultans of Swing but when I looked it up it was released in 1978.
Looking at a list of 80s hits I will say Sweet Child O' Mine for rock. For country I would say Willie Nelson's version of Always on my Mind.

80's, too many songs to choose from. Something I'll have to think over...and then be wrong.

So tough...Sweet Child is one of the decade's definitive songs, but I think Paradise City is actually a better song.
"Shook me all Night Long" anyone?
What else...."Pour Some Sugar on Me". "Billy Jean". "Jack and Diane".
Many more, but those were the ones that came immediately to mind. My vote is "Billy Jean"

In no particular order:
Love Shack - B-52's
Money for Nothing - Dire Straits
Missing You - John Waite
New Sensation - INXS
My Prerogative - Bobby Brown
Easy Lover - Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey
What's Love Got to Do with It - Tina Turner
Promises Promises - Naked Eyes
Cuts Like a Knife - Bryan Adams
....and a lot more. The 70's and 80's were great!

Ummm...yeah, that movie was ok I guess. Ha. How bout Dexy's Midnight Runners with the classic "come on eileen"? Good tune. Of course, Dexy's had so many awesome songs that were huge hits, and yes, that's sarcasm.tiger1990 wrote: "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider...from the film "Vision Quest."

So many great songs.
The 80's was one of the best musical periods in history.
