2-1 Massillon travels to 1-2 Mentor this Friday
MASSILLON (2-1)
Currently #9 in Region #2
Week #1 lost to Ak. Buchtel (1-2) 13-29 at Home
Week #2 Beat GlenOak (2-1) 28-27 Away
Week #3 Beat Stow 27-10 (1-2) at Home
MENTOR (1-2)
Currently Tied at #19 in Region 19
Week #1 Lost to St. Edward (3-0) 28-35 Away
Week #2 Beat Strongsville (1-2) 38-17 Away
Week #3 Lost to Solon (3-0) 21-31 at Home
Massillon leads the all-time series 5-4 outscoring Mentor 213 (23.6 ppg) to 165 (18.3 ppg). Massillon is 5-2 vs Mentor at PBTS, but have never won at Mentor (0-2), with Mentor outscoring Massillon 44 (22 ppg) to 24 (12 ppg).
1968 PBTS Mentor 19/ Massillon 0
1975 PBTS Massillon 20/ Mentor 2
1979 PBTS Massillon 28/ Mentor 0
1980 PBTS Massillon 30/ Mentor 14
2005 PBTS Massillon 31/ Mentor 10
2006 @ Mentor Mentor 19/ Massillon 7
2007 PBTS Mentor 56/ Massillon 52
2008 @ Mentor Mentor 25/ Massillon 17
2009 PBTS Massillon 28/ Mentor 20
The winner of this game went on to be the State Runners-up four consecutive years in which they played,
1980 Massillon
2005 Massillon
2006 Mentor
2007 Mentor
with the winner also reaching the State Semi-Finals in 79 and 09 (both years Massillon).
Massillon scrimmaged St. Eds and played them in 7 on 7's, both times playing them close, Mentor played them close in week #1.
Massillon also handled Strongsville in a 'game like scrimmage', while Mentor handled them in week #2. (Sorry, I don't remember who Mentor scrimmaged).
Massillon is 1-0 on the road this year, but hasn't played even remotely well since the Strongsville scrimmage, (maybe the second half of the GlenOak game). Mentor is 0-1 at Home. Mentor's schedule has been slightly tougher than Massillon's. Who wins this one?

I saw Akron Buchtel plaY Pittsburgh Central Catholic . It was a pretty even game PCC had 2 block punts and a turnover in a very short time frame in the 3rd . Akron moved the ball well and the defense was decent at times . Alot of talent on that team . They will win atleast 7 games this year . So when you look at that score with Akron and PCC dont be alarmed the score was a fluke it should have been much closer

So, what you're saying, is that Mentor will beat us by 4 more points than North Canton beat the Canadian team?
I really wish Big Al Carter were here to teach you how to be a PRODUCTIVE troll.

Massillon wins 26-21
Goes to 3-1!!!!!!
This was the last game of the series for a few years, till we work something out. Mentor is joining a league next year.

You had better start worrying a little more about YOUR TEAM not losing by more than 4 td's....To an upstart team with a new coach. Haha.
