WILLARD — Carey fell for the second straight week as the Blue Devils dropped a 30-14 non-conference decision to Willard Friday night.
The Crimson Flashes (1-2) led just 17-14 at halftime before pulling away with a pair of second-half touchdowns.
Carey opens Midland Athletic League play next week with a toughie as the Blue Devils travel to Fremont St. Joseph, in a battle between the defending MAL co-champs next Friday night at Don Paul Stadium.
