Acting on a tip, undercover Coral Gables police officers allegedly arranged to purchase 21 grams of marijuana from Ratcliff for $220 on Wednesday, said Officer Kelly Denham. After Ratcliff went to retrieve the marijuana, he was placed under arrest without incident and later consented to a search of his apartment.

There, Denham said, officers found another 101 grams of marijuana, plus 19 vials of Hygetropin, a synthetic form of HGH.

Denham said the most serious charge is the one relating to selling marijuana on school grounds, which under Florida law would carry at least a minimum three-year prison sentence.

"When you sell on school grounds, any school grounds, you're going away for three years minimum," Denham said. "People need to think about what they do."

A minimum of 3 years for selling weed? Its not like we have prison overpopulation in this country or anything. We might as well keep them locked up for that long:confused:

So from the sounds of it also to them the weed is much worse than the HGH as well??? WTF

Its the "on school grounds" that makes it a 3 year minimum.

A local high school football head coach got busted last weekend in a prostitution sting, and he is coaching tonite, no suspension.

Prositution vs Weed, hmmmmm now which is worse. Aids, Herpes, heavy drug use, the list goes on and on vs eating a few bags of fritos :)

Yeah, our laws about marijuana are fucked up in this country. No way someone should go to prison for selling weed, especially not for 3 years.
