I am working on our pre-season schedule and I know Westerville North is having their Tournament on Oct. 16th but are there any other Fall Opens that someone has a date on? I know Deleware usually has one.

CUrrently in the works, The Cruiser Open... November 6th, 2010. We will go 1-1-1 (i think) but WILL do neutral, choice, choice.

The tournament will take place at THEE Groveport Madison High School, weigh-ins will run from 7:30 to 9am, wrestling will begin at 10am. I'm pretty sure we run two divisions... Junior High and high school. Unless, of course, cruiser94 gets on here and sets the record straight.

This will be our thrid year running a pre-season tournament, we've had as many as 80 and as few as 50. It's an excellent day of wrestling to prepare for the season.

Look for more details coming sooooooon!!!

Cruiser and Ozzie (and anyone else in Central Ohio) - please post your tournament details as soon as possible since I am adding opportunities to the Westerville Central Wrestling website as I find them (www.wchswrestling.com). Trying to get the Westerville boys out on the mats before the season begins! Thanks!

Going south instead... Eden NC IS closer than Cheboygan... by about 30 minutes. And we've never been there. Super 32 qualifier.

Bitter, they used to. I think it was Westerville North, Delaware then The Nuts. Seems like BW's was the last open tournament before the regular season practice started.....

Any details Coach Moore???

While not a tournament, on 10/31 Westerville Central will be hosting Travis Traxler of the Tiffin Mat Sharks for a day long clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $30 and lunch is included. We hosted a clinic with Coach Traxler back in April and it was very well received. In case you want to knock the rust off in a less competitive environment, join us at the clinic (see the Event on Facebook).

Well, wrestling officially begins for my little guy this Saturday as we are going to the Elyria tournament listed above.

We'll probably do 2 tourneys in Oct, and 2 in Nov to get the blood going before practice starts in late Nov.

Good luck, my son and I are going to the Elyria Couch Potato as well, although my son hardly qualifies as a little guy.

Thanks, GL to your son as well.

My boy is 7 yrs old and only weighs about 49 lbs. He's a little one.
