Gotta be getting thin in that secondary.Vlad was a big time recruit but I think he was 3rd on the depth chart.

Sweet Lord. So what does the depth chart for the Defensive Backs look like?

Well since their starting FS was injured for the year according to Mgoblog they only have one backup behind their starter and Vlad was 3rd string. More than likely though there will be some moves made in the depth chart so vlad may not have been second string anyway.

Isn't Michigan running a 3-3-5? How do you not get higher on the depth chart when your team is running that defense??

Lol If michigan has a decent year....I bet theyll be landing some big recruits at DB, If you sign with Michigan you're pretty much already battling for a starting spot.

Yeah, that's the hope anyway. :)

I don't understand the mentality of some of the kids these days. And it's not just at Michigan. These recruits come in and expect to play their freshmen and sophomore years. What? You have to work for it? Nah, forget it, I'll just transfer.

Let's be real. If you can't make the 2-deep with the mess of a secondary that UM has, what makes you think you can transfer to another school and get PT right away? His knee injury seems to have affected him in a major way, impacting his speed to point of being the 3rd stringer. Too bad for this kid.

hahahahahahahha

Vlad was a very promising young player, but (even he said it) the knee injury has really hurt him. I'm curious to see if he transfers to a lower level school.

So if they lineup 5 DBs every play, how many are on the roster? By November, they might not have any substitutes.

ESPN says they have 8 CBs and 16 safeties. (They list Vlad as one of the safeties)
