The upstart Cruisers travel to Dublin Jerome this week. The Cruisers have won all 4 games versus the Celtics and look to make that 5 straight wins. The Cruisers are looking to start 3-0 for back to back years. I am picking the Cruisers in this one by a couple of scores!

What does Dublin Jerome have?

They've got one of the best QBs in the area in Gannon.
The only way you beat them by "a couple of scores" is if they turn it over like WS did against you.
I'm picking Jerome.

What are Gannon's numbers this year? I know the Cruisers are going to pound the ball and pound it some more. They have ran the ball very good this year with Junior quarterback Shane Denny leading the offense. The Defense has been stout the first 2 games, forcing lot of turnovers.

So are you saying that westerville south is better than gport or that I am dumb for reading the Columbus dispatch.

Honestly, I'm not saying either. However - for the joke's sake - I was implying the latter. Again, just razzin'.

As for the game: Amazing stuff! The Cruisers came out strong early, completing a 65 yard touchdown pass. But it was obvious that the big plays weren't going to come often. Jerome was ready for this game and is a very good team. They came out from halftime FIRED UP! They scored on extended drives with excellent play calling.

In the end, "THEE" turnover was the gamebreaker. Towards the end of the 3rd quarter, the Celtics were marching down the field (right to my vantage point) but alas, the quarter ended and they switched sides. No worries though, as a play or two into the 4th quarter, from the shotgun, the snap got loose. The Cruisers picked the ball up on the run an advanced it across midfield. ALthough they didn't score directly from the turnover, the Cruisers put Jerome in a bad position in 4th and long from about the 20 yard line. After not converting, the turnover-on-downs put the Cruisers in prime position to extend the lead.

All in all, great game.

On a side note: To the entire Jerome clan; Great job taking care of one of your own in Ian. Raising $17,000 for the young man is an awesome feat in the eyes of an opposing fan.
