Lakewood comes in to this game after beating a tough Mentor team 35-21 in week one and then putting a 65-25 pounding on Penn Hills of Pennsylvania.
Mooney played well against Pickerington North in week one, and is coming off a very solid looking win over Boardman. The D looked stout in both weeks, and the offense didn't miss a beat after Mooney lost their starting QB and center.
Any word on if either of those guys will be back for this game?
Should be a hell of a game at Stambaugh stadium Friday night. Once again, I'll hold off my prediction until later in the week. But it should be interesting to see St. Ed's high powered offense against Mooney's shut down defense.

The game is at Austintown Fitch High School. Ursuline - Mentor Lake Catholic is at YSU.

This should be a real slobber knocker. A big play will probably win it. Perhaps a blocked PAT, a fumble recovery or even a pick 6 (by Mooney cause the Cards ain't throwin').

What high school teams in Youngstown have stadiums?
I think South had a big stadium once and Rayen had a field . Did East and North and Chaney and Wilson or any of them ever have stadiums ? Just curious.

YSU's stadium is the home field for the Y'town schools. Back in the day, they all shared South and Rayen.
