Wood vs Wainright 4:10 start

Wood must be on top of his game. Wainright is killer.

I'm interested to see how Cabrera does today in his first start in awhile.

And now I'm extremely concerned that Bruce is hurt bad. That's not going to be good down the stretch!

Wainwright and Carpenter are two of the best NL pitchers the Reds have to face this weekend, but let's remember that tremendous pressure is on each of them, each coming off a loss the last time out, with Wainwright losing his last three starts, and those losses were big reasons the Cards lost so much ground recently. So let's see how they stand up in must win situations for them.

Reds had to take Miles to get rid of Taveras, and now they are glad the Cardinals have him! Pressure now is on Wood to hold the good working margin he was given before he took the mound for the first!

Wood just gave one run away on a two base throwing error. But Pujols doesn't take advantage of the easy RBI opportunity. Holliday does take advantage of a more difficult RBI situation to make it 3-1, and collect on the Wood error. Pretty bad defensive game so far, not to mention one hit ball off of each third baseman's glove!

Amazing that shot by Phillips missed hitting Heisey, and he scored a big run on it to be the first truly offensively earned run of the game!

If Votto runs from the beginning like he did last AB he'd be on third with the poor play by Holliday in LF.

The fortunate result of Votto's lead-off AB was wasted.
