KENTON — Maty Mauk accounted for eight touchdowns in a 70-34 win over Van Wert.
Mauk was 28-37 passing for 516 yards and five TDs and carried eight times for 41 yards and three touchdowns. Max Morrison caught nine passes for 219 yards and a pair of scores for the Wildcats (2-0, 1-0), which compiled 709 yards of offense.
Connor Masello had 18 carries for 98 yards and two touchdown runs for the Cougars (0-2, 0-1).
