and had arthroscopic surgery this morning. Saban says he is out for the first game and will be evaluated on week to week basis.

While that's true, the recent string of Sophomores to win the award is astonishing.

Opens the door for Terelle...which brings up a crazy scenario...do we pull for Terelle to repeat if he could win it once? Or do we want Archie to remain the only two-time winner?

How cool would it be for OSU to be ONLY school with (two) two-time winners? Knooty, Lotz and Ewok would absolutely be dying as TOSU overtakes both ND & SC as cradle of Heisman winners.

It would be teh coolest. Also, IF Pryor wins the Heisman this year, he won't be back for repeat.

And I wouldn't be dying at all.

I'd rather have a NC over a Heisman and I believe Pryor would too.

Cool. Do you have any other thoughts on Ingram or will you continue trolling?

Thats too bad about Ingram. He is a RB I enjoy watching. Can't imagine Saban will even take a chance of playing him in game 2 unless he is 100% healthy. Missing one game would hurt his Heisman chances...two games he as no chance. And with a quality back like Richardson..its not like Bama is going to be missing much to be honest.

Damn, that sucks for Ingram. Seems like a good kid too.

Oh yes, I would cry myself to sleep for eternity if OSU has another Heisman winner.......

How will I ever go on?

I agree, I've seen some of that ESPNU show with the inside look at Bama's training camp and he has a great personality and seems like he was a good team leader outside of just his abilities to run the ball.

If you can find USA Today CFB preview, there is a great article about Ingram in there. Not only is he a great running back, he is damn near a scratch golfer.

As for the Tide, that offense is loaded and won't miss a beat vs San Jose State or whoever they open with. Richardson will have a big day, but Ingram will need to be healthy for them to run the table again.

They wont really miss much with Richardson back there. I doubt he will be able to play the PSU game either.
