And if we stay at 6 we will need to play a big game on the road in week 11. Getting a big road win against Manchester will help us in that game. We need to get over that mental hurdle.

EC & Genoa's offense is much more polished than Orrville right now....and EC plays a tough schedule, so I put them at 1 right now.

As I figured several weeks ago it looks like there will be a big drop in points from the top 4-5 to 6-8 spots. That will probable make it very, very difficult to know where and who to scout for week 11 for the top 4 hosting teams. There could be 10 teams that still have a shot at one of those spots. On the other hand, the disparity between the quality of team from 1-5 and everyone else, it may not matter who they play week 11 except for the 4-5 match up. JMO

Nothing new at all...and I'm sure no timeline has been set by the OHSAA either. Makes me think that it wont be a decision that impacts this years team....especially since Elyria City Schools (the ones who turned them in) didn't specifically request they be made to forfeit games.

I don't know the truth to it but did hear that Elyria specifically requested that Elyria Catholic NOT have to forfeit games. If the OHSAA honors their wish, EC will not be forfeiting anything.

if it were players on this years team...they'd be forfeitting games....but it was freshmen (the violation supposedly happened when they were middle schoolers).....would really stink to punish that team who had nothing to do with it.

I'd rather not have the best team in the region taken out by OHSAA rules....but how many other EC kids currently on the roster were "directed" to EC in a similar fashion and just didn't get caught.

It would be interesting to play EC and payback the 1984 loss 14 to 13 at Baldwin Wallace. Bolyard missed a field goal at the end in a cold windy crosswind. I always thought if we had run the previous play to the left and set it up better we could have made that, instead of kicking from the right side into that crosswind :(
EC went on and won state, when we could have been there again in 1984 after being there in 1983 and we went back in 1985. It could have been a 3 year run in the finals.

What I heard from a very reliable source is that their penance.....er.....I mean punishment.... is 3 Hail Mary's and 4 Our Father's and an Act of Contrition...yep, that'll about do it.

Page 5 at the bottom says the OHSAA has tabled the appeal by Elyria Catholic High School. I assume it will be brought up at the Oct meeting again. It only took OHSAA 3 weeks to post the minutes.

Well I have had some trouble sleeping the past few weeks and usually just get on here, but I usually talk to myself haha cause everyone is in bed dreaming of a Rider victory while I'm up trying to figure out how to fix this offense. O well anyone know of some good sleep medicine??
