I think it has to be at Bama too. When is the last time Gameday was there? 2005?

It has been decided for some time they will be in bama. I hope Penn State finds a QB and can compete though.

another vote for 'Bama--it's a storied rivalry that should be the Game Day destination.

They actually don't officially decide until Monday the week of where they will be going. But yes, unless Alabama or Penn State get upset in week one, that's where they'll be.

It's not always about the rankings. OSU plays a marquee OOC game like this every year, Penn State and Alabama don't. This game is the night game on ESPN (meaning it will be the game Herbie is calling), the OSU game is in the afternoon. You also have more story lines with Alabama trying to repeat as champs, Ingrim trying to win his second Heisman, and JoPa going for his 400th win this season. Also both of these teams have been very good and in the national championship picture far more recently than Miami has. I'm sure that GameDay will spend plenty of time breaking down the OSU/Miami game and talking about the 2002 National Championship, but the Bama/PSU game has far more national interest.

Yes. Plus Bama and Penn State are two of the top 10 (at least) programs in history. Miami has only been relevant since the 80s and have had some pretty lean years since then.

Norman, OK wouldn't be a bad place for them to be either. But I agree that will be in Tuscaloosa for Alabama/PSU.

The better game will be in Columbus. The better atmosphere will be in Tuscaloosa
