So I've had perfect vision most of my life, but over the past couple years it's gotten kind of shitty; mainly stuff far away is a bit blurry. Anyway I got glasses the other day and while everything now looks perfect, it also looks like I'm looking through a magnifying glass. Things near me look really close up and it's really difficult to get used do. So is this normal and I will adjust to it, or is there something wrong?

If your vision problems were only items in the distance looking a little fuzzy I presume you don't have bi-focal lenses so the fact everything up close seems like you are looking through a magnifying glass seems a little odd. I have the same vision problem, up close is perfect, but distance is blurry. I only wear my glasses when I have to focus on items far away. When I am reading, working or on the computer I don't wear my glasses at all.
As to whether your issue is just an adjustment issue, I guess you could cal the vision center and ask them. They may have put the wrong lenes in your frames.

Maybe you got magic glasses that give your eyes superhuman powers. Try to see if you can stare through walls into female shower-rooms. If so, let me know where you got these glasses.

I already tried that, it didn't work.

i havent worn glasses for almost 5 years now(lasik). if i can remember, there may have been a little feeling of distortion at first that you have to get used to, but it unless i can see through your eyes, not sure exactly how bad it is etc.

i didnt get glasses til i april of this year, went almost 26 years without. i had an astigmatism in both eyes i think is what i was told. when i first got them everything that was close up seemed awkward, like it looked like i was walking up an incline on a flat floor or if looking at a wall it was angled slightly out towards me. it lasted a week maybe then my eyes adjusted.

I remember getting glasses and having everything looking closer and distorted, kinda. You get used to it after a while.
