Tiger with a strong start...-4 thru 9. Ryan Palmer is -5 thru 5! I would love to see Bubba or Rory win this one!!

Tiger in the clubhouse at -6. All he needed was to get rid of Elin.

I actually thought Tiger and Palmer might shoot lower than they did, after fast starts. I see Bubba was even-par on the day.

Tiger pounded six poons, one for every stroke under par

Tiger definitely could have. With a bogey on 12(?) and a shortish eagle miss on the front. Could have been -8.

BTW If the tournament ended right now, Tiger would jump from 112th in the points race to 2nd.

And Furyk would drop from 3rd to 7th after his "ridiculous" DQ.

So they just had about a 10 minute discussion on whether Fowler's ball moved. Whether it moved MAYBE 1 inch, for a 1 foot putt. He said he thought it moved, just give him the 1 stroke penalty and move on. No need to play the 2 balls, if the player said "it moved" why are you going through this??

Good to see Tiger play well. Now we'll see if he can continue that.

Kevin Streelman fired an 8 under 63 to get to -7 for the tourney. Tiger is currently -2 thru 10 today and has a one shot lead at -8.

Tiger with a good day out there and finished the tournament #1 in driving accuracy--he easily will move on to the next event next weekend.

But the story right now is Laird-- He just 3 putted with a chance to win, and is now in a playoff with Kuchar. BTW...you should watch because Laird's fiance is pretty smokin hot.

Kuchar with a great (and somewhat fortunate) 7 iron to about 3 feet. Has a birdie putt for the win.

I feel bad for laird. Gotta suck choking by three putting a 20 foot putt.
