I know its late notice but we still have 2 days to get picks in. I will try to have future weeks posted by the Sunday of that week to give everyone enough time. There will be 10 games a week and I will try to include Rossford/Fostoria as much as possible since they will be joining with the majoriy of the SLL schools next year.

Deadline for picks is 7 PM Friday nights, if picks are edited after that time, they won't be counted for that week. Also, if you miss 2 weeks, not counting this week due to late notice, you won't be counted in the standings.

Clyde- Always a good game, Fliers seem to have more going for them right now

Genoa- Drusbach would love to beat his former team, but not this time around. I do think Rossford will be much better from now forward

Lake- By lots.

Port Clinton- Another good game, that again goes to PC

Evergreen- This game could decide just how long Otsego's season will feel like

Hopewell-Loudon- Beatdown

Ottawa Hills- Come on Gibsonburg, waiting for you guys to get it together

Ottawa-Glandorf- OG is LOADED

Central Catholic- [Insert religious reference here]

St Francis- See above

One of the many inconveniences with having warring sites is that it becomes difficult to remember whether 1), you entered your games 2) which site were you on when you did it, 3) not being called traitor by loyalists from either site who would disown you for daring to simply want to post and enjoy the competition. With that in mind.... here are my picks (I think).

Clyde
Genoa
Lake
Port Clinton
Otsego
Hopewell-Loudon
Ottawa Hills
Ottawa Glandorf
Central Catholic

Genoa over Rossford something like 57-6

I'm not suprised about the teams that won above, but I am suprised about the scores.

Man Genoa looked very crisp against Rossford. I know it's Rossford but they just seemed to execute very well

As far as Eastwood/Clyde goes it was sad to see Pernell Connor get his knee I believe banged up early in the 1st quarter, but he still played thru the whole game limping. Sophmore Marquise Pitts did a nice job running the ball. Defensively alot of missed tackles and some blown coverages, but thats expected with a young and inexperienced secondary. Although about every other play I hear either Hayward or Conkle in on the tackle.

Clyde did a nice job of moving the ball when they needed and had some big stops on defense. Although they did miss some huge opportunities such as a dropped touchdown pass through the hands and a kickoff return for touch down called back.

All in all it was a good opener for both teams and Im loooking forward to week 2!
