Anyone watching? First time I'll get to see Man City this season......wow are they loaded. I didn't realize how many big names they brought in over the summer.

Gareth Barry just put them up 1-0 in the 13th.

Torres looks a step slow....I doubt he's 100%

lol they just said Mascherano refused to play in the game. Must be tough times at Merseyside.

No, he's been wanting to get out for a while and Liverpool rejected a 12 million transfer offer from Barca and Mascherano is sitting out protesting Liverpools refusal to accept.

If he doesn't want to be in Merseyside, fine, I'm perfectly okay with Lucas starting in his place.

Read about that, and honestly...they are retarded. That is a ton of money for a guy who doesnt want to be there. They may get more in the end, but I doubt it.

As for City. They are loaded. They are the 3rd best squad, talent wise, in the EPL imo. If they can come together as a unit and get some breaks to go their way, they can challenge for the title.

Extremely retarded. If someone's not going to want to play for you anyways, might as well get money for him.

As for the game, Man City is looking head and shoulders above Liverpool.

Yes we're down Joe Cole, but I'm hoping this game is more of an aberration than a sign of things to come.

Kobe Bryant didn't want to play for the Lakers in '05, is that what they should have done, too?

Kobe was the best player in the game at that time....Javier Mascherano is FAR from it.

Very true. And I don't want to compare the two situations...just making the point that clubs don't want to set that precedent with players sometimes.

Arsenal did so with Cesc and Barcelona, and I agree with the clubs not wanting to just sell players when they are unhappy. But sometimes, this case included, its a must. Hell, 12 million for Masherano is a steal for Liverpool, lol. He aint worth that much money.

Also, my fantasy team blows at the moment. I have too many injuries/recovering injuries. Tevez and Sagna FINALLY provided some points this week.

I still think there's a pretty sizable gap between the top 3 teams and the rest of the pack. Tevez with some nice points for my struggling fantasy team.

I know a lot of people don't feel the same way.....but I want City to be good. I'd like to see the "big 4" be shaken up and more teams competed for the league title. I

Looks Like Barca has upped the offer (closer to 20 Million Euros....I suck and cant transfer that to Pounds lol), and Javier should be at the Nou Camp within days.
