I think Sage might get cut

Joe Webb with a long TD run, he might be the No. 3 QB

Overall I like San Francisco's effort. I think they have a good system in place.

Although maybe not the talent necessary to be a big factor.

Good RBs and the offensive line will be tough eventually. Not sure about Smith and the passing game.

Defense is above average but they could use more of a destroyer at OLB. Lawson and Haralson are just ok.

It looks like Navarro Bowman will be tough as another inside backer.

This one guy, Diyral Briggs, from Bowling Green has impressed me as a pass rusher. Not sure his story, if he has a shot to make the team.

I've been big on Nate Davis since the end of his senior year at Ball State, and I have absolutely no affiliations to Ball State. I just always felt someone with that big of an arm can be successful in the NFL.

They need to find a way to keep Joe Webb on that team, either as a QB or ???

You are aware that Patrick Willis plays for the 49ers, right? Outside or not, Willis is a punisher and continually leads the league in tackles.

I've been big on Nate Davis since he was a Bellaire Big Red......and I hate Bellaire. Kid is a gamer though. He will start for them at some point this season. Wouldn't be surprised to see him become a player who has some pro bowl caliber years while in the league.

Yeah Willis is a beast. I'm talking more about the outside edge guys in a 3-4. Lawson had 6 1/2 sacks and Haralson 5 sacks last year. Not bad but I'm just thinking if they had a DeMarcus Ware, James Harrison type guy the defense would go from good to great.

Bowman from Penn State is playing inside right now but he looks like a player.

The kid from Bowling Green I mentioned, Diyral Briggs, might be a sleeper. He showed off some good pass rush moves tonight and was in the backfield a lot.

Now I look back and I guess he had a big game against Indy in the first preseason game. 4 tackles, 1 pass deflection, 1 interception, 2 QB hits

Undrafted free agent in 2009.

at this point he's not better... and Alex will put up good numbers this year for a smash mouth type O... tho i too hope to see davis get the nod eventually somewhere...

I'll say this as a 9ers fan if we don't host a home playoff game this year... it will be a disappointment!
