Brookhaven played Logan here. It should be okay for a D4 match-up. How big of a following does Alter bring with them?

If you forget the past you're doomed to repeat it. Get a run game down there, at least a little run game.

We had a little run game..it worked when we needed it to..just didn't need it when we were playing the Haven..then Angle got hurt..that took the wind out of the sails there..no run game was going to help after that.

Alter will bring at least a couple thousand people to this game. In my six years as a parent, Alter generally has more fans than the home team.

Pretty aggressive prediction for a team defense that allowed 18 points per game (first 9) and lost twice. Looks like the Offense can put up some numbers, but several other good offenses have now turned in their gear. Ask Clinton Massie about the Alter D. 80 yards of total offense ( 1 - 73 yard rush and 7 more) It's good to have faith and belief, but every team at this level deserves respect.

You have to admire the smugness, arrogance and confidence emanating from the fans of small Catholic schools - you know - the ones that "don't recruit" yet somehow consistently field D1-level talent year after year after year.

It's almost as if the OHSAA hands the alleged "D4" Catholic school a Glock and the genuinely D4 public school a pellet gun. Then the fans salivate with glee over the carnage about to occur.

Not complaining mind you. I'm excited and proud that my high school alma mater - for the first time in school history - was able to put together enough talent to finally make it all the way to state-level playoff play.

It's just that I honestly don't understand why the fans of schools like Alter, Mooney, Ursuline, etc. get all giddy about pounding the Sisters of the Poor. It's like clockwork.
