The Indians travel to face the Tigers for a 3-game set. Detroit just happens to be the last team that the Indians swept a series against. Also, since the All-Star break the Tigers have the worst record in baseball.

Max Scherzer(8-9 3.86) is on the hill for Detroit. Josh Tomlin(1-2 2.96) goes for the Tribe.

Why don't we just use this thread for today's game? Just go back up to your first post and edit it with today's info.

I wonder if in the last few weeks, anybody has developed a new appreciation for the job Jhonny Peralta did while a member of the Tribe? After watching the comedy of errors(pun intended) at 3rd base since Peralta was dealt, does any one feel good about it? I'm sure there are some that will get weepy about the guys in the minors, but none of those are better than what we have now. mThey have 'potential' ...but I will remind you that Andy Marte was, at the time of the Crisp trade, ranked the second best 3B prospect in MLB at the time.LOL.

If you haven't already heard me explain how valuable JP is/was to the team...and you didn't/don't believe me, Manny Acta lays it out for you.

Wow Trevor Crowe may have the weakest arm I have ever seen in the pros. Miguel Cabrera scored from second on a weak line drive of the end of the bat to shallow center.

You've clearly never seen Johnny Damon try to throw a baseball.

I have but not for a long time. Two big outs by Gomez to limit the damage to 3. Left the bases loaded 3-1 Tigers after 1

haha, im just giving you a hard time. Damon is just a joke in left field. I remember the first time I watched him try to throw a guy out at home in KC from about the middle of the outfield. The throw bounced before 3rd base lol.

I know how many people actually post about the Indians? That's why I never post about them because I'm basically talking to myself whenever I post about them.

Another error/misplay by the Indians third basemen. This time by Nix. Hasn't been officially scored yet.

I think 5 a 5 run lead for Verlander should be enough, I hope.

Only three Indians making over $1,000,000 according to the link. There are several players who are unavailable though.

Wow Nix didn't even move so Cabrera had to try and bare hand it. Should've been an out. That's two mistakes in three innings by Nix.

While Gomez struggled badly today its not all his fault 2 errors by the tribe which should be three errors but the hometown scoring gave the tigers the extra hit. Crowe has two errors, Nix should have one and he should've made another play but he stood there and watched it roll to Cabrera. The Tigers are just hitting it where the Tribe isin't now. Earlier they were killing Gomez. Choo looks like the only Indian who knows that there is a game going on today. This is an embarrassing performance by the tribe.

It seems like seems like no one on this roster is a capable third baseman. I think next year Jared Goedert or Lonnie Chisenhall will be the starting 3rd baseman
