I haven't had the fortune of playing any ridiculously great courses. But I would say my favorite would be Skyland Pines in north east Ohio.

I have to be partial and say Oakhurst Country Club, my home course is my favorite course. But there's been plenty that I've enjoyed.

Golf Club of Dublin
Northstar
Eaglesticks

Played a course in Pittsburgh called Hickory Hills or Heights that was a fun layout, runs all over the mountains

Crookied Sticks in Indianapolis, Indiana
Arcadia Bluffs in Arcadia, Michigan
Forest Dunes in Roscommon, Michigan

All 3 are immaculate courses. Arcadia is just beautiful. Northern Michigan woods while also on the lake.

My two rounds at St. Andrews have literally been magical. Some of the most fun I have ever had.

The Brassie in Chesterton, Indiana is pretty sweet.

Also love Firestone Farms as far as local courses go.

Whatever courses I played in Hawaii were sweet. Hard to fuck that up though.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (site of the 91 Ryder Cup 'War by the Shore') was by far the toughest I've ever played (but probably most beautiful).

Harbor Town at Hilton Head was probably the most fun because I had played it so much as a kid on video game golf (and watching the Heritage over the years) that in a weird way it felt like I knew the course.

Hands down Poipu Bay in Koloa, Kauai. Where the PGA Grand Slam of Golf was played until 2006. Awesome.

Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester (think Shaun Micheel's 7 iron to a couple inches at the PGA)

It's the home course for University of Rochester and I played it twice on my recruiting visits up there. SPECTACTULAR layout. Avalon Lakes in Youngstown and Scarlet here in Columbus rank up there as well.

I really want to get my hands on Inverness and Oakmont.

Haven't played many outside of this region, but have played some great tracks:

Sand Ridge - Geauga County, OH
Olde Stonewall - Ellwood City, PA
Little Mountain - Painesville, OH
Aston Oaks - North Bend, OH
Totteridge - Outside of Pittsburgh

Of courses I get to play often, Apple Valley can't be beat for price and quality of golf.

What's the going rate at Avalon Lakes? I go to school up in the area and am always on the prowl for some nicer courses to play

Weird you say that. My old roommate's father was the GM at both places.

Shamrock in Powell but only because I shot a 73 there. Its followed closely by Golf Club of Dublin where I played pretty well too. Other than those, Eaglesticks, The Players Club at Foxfire, and Scarlet.

Forgot about Inverness and Highland Meadows in Toledo, Ohio. I take them for granted since I get to play each a few times a year. Inverness is a SPECTACULAR course for this area (ie, no natural beauty around it).
