BigAppleBuckeye and I will be spending part of our honeymoon in Rome from October 15 to October 18 and were wondering if it would be worth checking out a soccer match. I've looked up the schedule for AS Roma and it looks like they are scheduled to play Genoa on the 17th. I know SS Lazio is the other club, but I haven't looked up their schedule yet.

Is this something worth doing, and if so, which team (assuming both are playing that weekend in Rome), is the one to watch. Also, where would we be able to purchase tickets in advance?

My fiance has been to a game in Brazil, but I've never been to a match and it is something that I'd really like to see when in Rome.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

I have been to a few Serie A games when i lived in Italy. Great experience, I suggest you definitely go. AS Roma is the better team. They finished 2nd in the standings last year. They also have Totti, who is now a legend there.

Francesco TOOOOOOOTTTTTIII!!!!!

Go to a Roma match. They play in the Olympic Stadium, and have a pretty rich history. Totti is one of the best Italian players in a long time, and while a little past his prime is still a great player and fun to watch.

Just promise BAB you wont leave for him.

Definately go see one, and go to the local bars and watering holes before you go to get the real feel for how those games go. It would be sweet to see the game, but experiencing the drinking aspect of these games is something you don't want to miss. Roma would be the best team to see as well.

Yes, I spent about a week in Rome trying spot Illary Blasi! She is GORGEOUS. I think she was the first person I posted on the World Cup Hot Girls thread a few months ago haha. My cousins all wanted to spot Totti, and I was all for it since his wife would be with him lol.

Something on my list is to see a Serie A game or an EPL game.
