Duh, how can you not realize what you are doing in that situation. If she is that dumb, she deserves to get fired.

They don't take that shit lightly (not just SEC schools, everywhere). You don't think it's that big of a deal until you actually work in the athletic department and see how pissed off they get.

The title should be changed to "Fired for being a dumb slut". I was thinking about throwing the "C" word in there but that'd just be over the top ;)

But seriously, how stupid is she?

This is also why I wish they'd release the name of the two Cincinnati associated reporter that asked for Tim Tebow's autograph in the Bronco's locker room after the pre-season game. Those two need to be canned.

She said it was an accident and apologized. Im sure the station knew she was a Florida grad when they hired her. Bad move by the station IMO.

I remember I walked thru our athletic department with a Notre Dame football shirt on. Went over like I had a Hitler shirt on. We don't even have a GD football team either.

You must be referring to the people in the Athletic Department down here that want to shoot people wearing OSU stuff on sight?

No doubt the girl made a mistake, but to lose your job over this? Come on. Florida and Arkansas are far from even being considered rivals. I think they've played 8 or 9 times in their history. She should have been given the opportunity to apologize and move on. Remember who you are dealing with, probably the biggest jackass head coach in college football.

Turns out she wrote a letter to the university and Petrino apologizing and was hoping to apologize publicly, but was never given the opportunity.

Was it a dumb move? Absolutely. But Petrino should feel like a POS after hearing the news of her termination. If he doesn't make that remark, all is fine.
