The Ozone is doing a 3 part series on the redshirt situation for the Buckeyes. Interesting to hear how some of the young guys are doing.

Good stuff. I personally am really excited about seeing Hyde this fall. I really think he will work his way into a prominent role at some point.

I've been out of the loop lately with Buckeye football. The article mentioned Jermil Martin is "no longer with the team" or "left the team." What's the deal?

Jermil transfered to Ashland.

He redshirted in '08 and didn't play a down against Michigan last year, so I think you are thinking of someone else. Martin had one nice TD run against Minnesota, but is buried on the depth chart. With Hyde coming in, Ohio State has a similar big back, who has more speed than Martin did.

Thats a shame about Jermil Martin, he made an impression on me last season with the 10 carries or so that he had.
