Is this based on a video game? Just went to Game Stop to sell my old 360 stuff and on the TV they showed in game footage of a Scott Pilgrim vs. The World video game that looked like an old NES game. I thought this movie looked stupid but if its based on a video game then I could at least understand why it looks the way it does.

I loved it. Anyone that is into old school video games will really be into this movie. It is hilarious.
