3 Hr tonight and is up to 97 RBI on the season

He'll be all over Bonds 762 and IMO the RBI title of 2297 by Henry Aaron may draw more attention when the time comes.

Good for him but no one cares.

Its already known to the public that he used roids, anything he does will be tarnished.

It was well known that Bonds used 'roids too...but it still drew a shitload of interest.

I am telling you, the steroid era seriousness wasn't that high when Bonds got the record.

The hype won't be there for ARod.

I watched the game tonight (like I do every night) and he just seems to be playing more free and easy now that he's broken the record. All 3 of those balls were absolutely mashed, no doubters that they were going out, and he helped propel his team to a much needed victory to keep pace in the East. You can say what you want, but IMO he's one of the greatest hitters(or should go down as one) to ever play the game, and his accolades (gold gloves, all star appearances, a World Series ring) prove it

He fucking cheated the game, any player that used steroids is a POS.

Each one of them had a part in ruining baseball.

The biggest turnoff to me on A-Rod was not that he took steroids, but that he was such a lying POS about it. First, in a 60 Minute interview, he flat out denied steroid use. 15 months later, he admits to taking something, but denies knowledge of what the substance was. In that particular interview (viewed by millions on national TV) A-Rod lied like a season professional (and not a baseball professional). Finally, in 2009 he comes cleans and asks to be judged "from this day forward. Information comes out that he obtained over the counter steroids from his cousin in the Dominican Republic.

I think this is pretty extreme, but hey, it's your opinion.

Everyone seems to forget that baseball was basically encouraging steroid use at the time.

^Agree. I definitely care as well. The buzz will be enormous if (when, imo) he approaches Hank's record.

A-Rod is the face of what is wrong with baseball, and why it is no longer America's pastime. I love baseball, but A-Rod is a skid mark on baseball's drawers.
