Fightin' Showalters are going to be a tough out down the stretch. Could play a big spoiler role for the Yanks, BoSox, and Rays.

Jeanmar Gomez with another strong start: 6 IP, 1 ER 3K/0 BB. I like what I'm seeing from this young guy.

Well apparently the big leagues was just what Gomez needed after being less than impressive in Columbus most of the season. It seems like the Tribe is keeping him on a very short leash right now as they were already warming someone up in the bullpen in the 6th when Gomez had given up 0 runs and was around 70-80 pitches. But he's certainly giving himself a great opportunity to get a spot in the rotation for next season.
