Last night, my gf and I attended the best concert either one of us has ever been to, for the whopping price of $6 per person at the Hartford Fair (Licking Co.). Chuck Wicks opened the show at about 7:30 and played until about 8:30. He sounded very good and has a new album coming out with some very good sounding new songs on it...While waiting for Justin Moore to take the stage, at about 9:10, the ENTIRE fairgrounds lost power. After an hour delay, AEP finally got the power back on and Justin took the stage at about 10:15. He was a class act all the way, apologizing for the delay (like he could have controlled it lol) and thanking everyone several times for staying because hardly anyone left! He told us "I can tell y'all one thing: This will be the most badass concert you've ever been to since you stuck with us through the delay". And he wasn't lying. Dude played for over TWO HOURS...he played all 10 songs off of his first CD, 6 more new songs off his upcoming CD, sang about 4 acoustic songs (which is what the following video is) and covered a bunch of different songs from Hank Williams Jr. (Family Tradition), ZZ Top (Give me all your lovin') and Lynyrd Skynyrd (Workin' for MCA). He called everyone to move up as close to the stage as they could get, and went out and walked around among the crowd while singing 2 of his hit songs!

If you like country and you EVER have a chance to go see Justin Moore, don't hesitate. He sounds live, just like he does on a CD. The dude can sing, he has a great band, and he knows how to put on a show. He was already one of my favorite country singers before last night (one of the best younger guys in country music, REAL country music) and he just made 2 lifetime fans, as myself and my gf were absolutely blown away.

The following song was not recorded by me, but this is from the fair we were at last night. This song is called "Outlaws like me" and will be on his upcoming CD, and I can almost guarantee you it will be a hit. Listen to it all the way through because the ending is awesome!

Agree on Justin Moore being badass... I seen him at Riverbend with Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker and he was awesome!

The more important question is, what did you eat at the fair?? :D We may go out Thursday for my annual pepperoni stick, or if it's still crazy hot I'll just have one of my kids bring me one home.
