The 2010 season is almost upon us. First scrimmage this saturday @ Fairless. Anyone hearing anything coming out
of Camp Billker? Who will take over the middle linebacker spots?

Good luck against Fairless. Be careful not to get anyone injured.

in talking to some of the players I am hearing pretty much all positives, things are a little different, but not bad. Who takes over at LB will be the most interesting positions to watch this fall. I don't see a ton of changes at other positions. I did not ask them who was running with the first team at LB. Also wouldn't surprise me if you didn't see much of Lint in the scrimmages since he had off season surgery. I can't see them throwing him out much at scrimmages when he is going into his third year starting. Why are they moving the scrimmage to Fairless?

According to FridayNightOhio the game was switched. Not sure why.

Gonna be interesting to see how the team speed is put to use. It has been fun to watch the WCAL open up the offensive playbooks a little the past few seasons. Will Billker bring a more spread style offense?

Good luck this year, Dalton! We'll see you a week from this Friday. BBQ Chicken before the scrimmage, so stop by!

Any helmet or uniform changes for the Dawgs? Usually a new coach likes to tinker.

Too plain...a little bit of color would be nice. Some pride stickers, an orange stripe....something.

I shall now butt out, lol.

Nope staying the same at least for this year. The same black helmets this year!

the offense may will be a little of the old and a little of the new. Sounds like you will see some spread as well as the dalton standby option. I love the dalton all black uni's by the way.

I caught the start of the scrimmage today. I thought the offense looked good. Correct me if I was wrong but it looked like Lint was in street clothes, but the back filling in did a nice job (I could be clueless and it was lint running well). The only time the offense had a few (minor problems) was when they tried going out of the gun. Defense for the Bulldogs looked good, gave a few yards at times, but was strong when needed and forced Fairless to struggle with the varsity.

lint had offseason surgery. he has been practicing as far as i know, but they likely held him out as a precaution if he indeed did not play

How did Fairless look? The same as in years past?

He did not play this week and is unlikely to play again next week. Dalton's offense is ahead of the defense but both sides played well. Dalton won the scrimmage 3 td's to none. Fairless is the same old same old.

Keyes and Moyer were the main linebackers. Lincoln Forrer played as one of the outside linebackers as well.

Fairless got a couple of runs off, but then failed to follow them up. It is just the first scrimmage, but I wasn't blown away by their performance on either side of the football.

I am looking forward to going up against Dayton next Friday. As always, they will be a tough preseason test for us. Good luck, Bulldogs!
