Anyone on here try one of these? How did it go for you? What sort of results did you see?

Based on a recommendation from a close friend of mine, my wife and I will be starting this next week. I picked up the complete body cleanse from GNC last week and look forward to starting. My buddy, although he is in a minority on this, lost 15 lbs and it practically got rid of his IBS and he says he has never felt better.

I was always curious to see what these things were about. How did you feel while going through the cleanse process? Is it safe?

It's a good way to make GNC more money.

Probably is funny. I watched Penn and Tellers Bullshit on Recycling and it was pretty good too.

Wow...serious lack of real info here...

What we got is 4-5 different types of pill packets and then a drink mix.

I was going to say, it's taco Tuesday at Taco Johns down the road here, and I live right behind a Speedway. 5 tacos and a 6 pack of shitty beer and I'm cleansed!

Had my cleansing about a month ago.
Did a job in Del Carmen Mexico and ate something bad!
I had 2 weeks of cleansing, so I'm good.

Got an official cleansing last fall while prepping for a colonoscopy. Wow... what an evening, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Plenty of liquids should help... Godspeed LOL

Also second the softest paper available and a cold pack!

I did Evercleanse last year. Made me feel better. Crapped a lot. Stopping drinking was what made me lose the lbs. though.

I don't like the sounds of that diet.

I did AdvoCare's 24 day challenge earlier this summer, which begins with a 10 day cleanse. I lost 10 pounds during the cleanse and another 5 during the next 14 days, and I would have lost more but I was counseling camp one of those weeks so I had little control over what I ate. I'm getting ready to cleanse again here in a few weeks once football has started up.

How much of the weight drop is muscle/strength... that'd be my question.

Very little of my weight loss was muscle mass (although I'm a big guy, so I have plenty of fat to lose). You get what AdvoCare calls their Catalyst, which is an amino acid to help fight muscle loss during the cleanse. You take three in the morning and three 15 minutes before working out.

I have no idea what the cheapest is, but my AdvoCare challenge cost me about $160 for the 24 days and included Fish Oils, the catalyst, a crap ton of multi-vitamins, cleanse tablets, fiber drinks, and protein drinks.

While there is little scientific evidence to support or refute the benefits of colon cleansing, critics say it's generally unnecessary and at times may even be harmful. Although doctors prescribe colon cleansing as preparation for medical procedures such as colonoscopy, most don't recommend it for detoxification. Their reasoning is simple: The digestive system and bowel naturally eliminate waste material and bacteria — your body doesn't need enemas or special diets or pills to do this.
