How much do you expect to spend this year total on Christmas?

I will be giving more to a few families I know in need…… $1500.00 total
Giving to Charity Organization ………………………… $800.00 total
My Personal Family ….
Wife, 3 Daughters, 2 Spouses, 4 Grandkids ………….$3500.00 total

But by the time it ends add additional $600/$700 bucks

Alway give my change to those Salvation Army Buckets

I enjoy helping the families in need that I know really need the help and a little breathing room for the Holidays.
I save for this time of year for the families and people that need help.
As for my family I just spend to spend

I will find out who I have in our sibling gift exchange on Friday...our limit is $25. I am spending about $50 total on my parents and I need to get mexappeal and someone else a gift. So I would say $200ish total when all said and done.

I started it off today with about $250 and it doesn't seem like I've gotten anything. Added a newborn to the family this year - wonder if I could get away with Dollar-Storing him this year?

I don't even have a budget. I know I should, but I just have a pile of presents and I won't stop until I feel like there's enough in each person's pile. :)

That's right, Christmas is coming soon. Time to start casing houses to see what I can find to swipe myself for a present.

4 nephews at $250 each.
3 sisters/brothers in law at $100 each
Parents $100 each
Grandmothers $100 each
Varies on the gf.. prolly no more than 300

so ? $2000

I justify it by not having any kids.

$50 each for my brother and sister. We usually keep the limit there and focus our attention on our parents.
$100 on my parents (brother and sister put more into as they have real jobs and I am in college). We usually get our parents some small house gifts and then one big present, last year was a flat screen TV.
My girlfriend and I adopted two kids in need off a Salvation Army Christmas tree and we already spent around $100 on them.
$50 for my girlfriends parents, I usually try to get them something cheap but useful since they buy me gifts and take me to the Bengals/Browns game every year.
$300-400 on my girlfriend depending on what she wants and how good she has been (if ya know what I mean).

So right around $600-$700

I haven't thought about it yet. I guess it depends on how much overtime I work in the next few weeks. The Wife and I do not buy things for each other, instead we do things together throught the year to make up for it. I'm more concerned about giving to my family. I'm in more of a position now that I can help them. I really don't want any gifts from them.

I have to buy for:

Mom
Dad
Brother
Sister-in-Law
Sister
Brother-in-Law
Grandma
3 Nieces
1 Nephew
1 Gift Exchange(Mom's side)
1 Gift Exchange(Dad's side)
5 non-family members

Anywhere from $25-$50/person

Waiting to hear back from the Red Cross on a family to help out this Christmas. I will be taking my nieces and nephew with me to deliver the goods. I think it is good to personally show them what Christmas is all about.

I'm spending under $50, since neither of my parents get anything (they didn't even remember my birthday until 2 weeks after the fact, and got me nothing - turnabout is fairplay, assholes).

I honestly don't know for sure, because I always buy throughout the year and I never keep track of it. But I'd say somewhere in the $1,500 range. That is including charities, though.

I'll do somewhere around 3 grand. Since things are tight my kids draw names and will buy for only one. I on the other hand take care of all of them.

My wife and I have Christmas all year long. If we need something, we buy it. If there is anything we want at this time of year, we buy it. I personally hate the holidays, and getting gifts.

I get all the joy I need out of watching my daughter open up her gifts.

That's awesome to hear that a lot of you give to various charities and families in need. I imagine it's a priceless gift to them. God Bless you guys.
