I reenlisted in the Navy again today for maybe the last time. This will take me to 20 years. I wanted it to be special, so I sat it up to happen at the Shoe.
Then I got invited to go watch Buckeye football practice by Coach Tressel. He wanted me to stick around after practice so we could talk, and he even posed for pics with me and my family.
He was cool enough to give my daughter a popsicle after practice.

I got to touch one of Archie's Heisman trophies
After all of that the whole family went to the zoo and had a great time. Today was a great day, and I am glad I got to share it with my family.

Pretty cool. Thanks for all you do for our country.
I'd assume those are the non contact jerseys that QB's wear. Most other places they are red, obviously that wouldn't work in Columbus.

Thanks everyone. Honestly, the coolest part of the day for me, was when Tressel gave my daughter a popsicle. She doesn't realize how cool that is, but I will always know.

brutus--I AM a Buckeye fan,and it makes me proud when JT and his troops exhibit class like this..and I also want to thank you,and servicemen like you, for doing what you do--it makes me proud to be an AMERICAN as well...GO BUCKS & USA!!!
btw,my brother is retired Navy after 20 years...he's living in Nebraska,and he's a huge Buckeye fan...he's gonna' love this post!!!

I've heard that they have black practice jerseys....but you're right it could be a non contact jersey. The only thing I've heard in regard to them is that Ohio State will never wear black jerseys in a game (a la Georgia). At least not in the near future

Practice jerseys were scarlet and white. The black ones were on the QB's.
