Seen where there is a new series of this starting later this month. American Chopper: Junior vs Senior or something like that. Guess ol' Jr finally said screw it and started up his own bike shop to rival OCC. On board with Jr are Mikey, Vinnie, & Nubs. Sounds like it could be an interesting show again.

To me it all sounds fake.

I'd say the court documents where Sr. sued Jr. over OCC might prove differently.

Fair enough....The suit is over the value of Jr.'s minority stake. Still nothing to prevent them doing that sort of a publicity stunt, though I'd probably agree the value as such is pretty limited.
I used to like this show. I try to watch but often forget and don't think about setting the DVR.
Apparently, Jr. had a 1-yr non-compete which was why he was kind of all over the place last season. My guess: Jr. learns there's more to running a business than just building the occasional theme bike and fails. Lucky for Mikey they got another season because I can't imagine what he'd find work doing otherwise...open a bar, I suppose.

Vinnie still has V-Force with Cody, but took the offer for the money to do the show again. Rick's dad lives in Daytona. Paul Sr. is an asshole, Jr. is ok and really can build a bad ass bike. Mikey is useless, just like he is on the show. Paul Sr. ran OCC into the ground. Real bike fans turned to Arlen Ness, Matt Hotch, Dave Perewitz, Bill Rucker, Ron Simms, Eddie Trotta, plenty of great builders out there.
Here is a radio interview from a local station up there in NY. Mikey is in studio, it starts out with Jr. on the phone, then after 6 minutes the dj brings in Paul Sr. on the phone. Jr. is pissed about the lawsuit. Sr. They get into an argument over the value of the company, Sr. said the appraisal came back $0.00 , Paul Jr. then says ok I'll buy your 80%. (listen to the 12:30 mark, hilarious)

Good stuff Speed....
Paul Sr. could be right about the value of the company....I say COULD be because I believe they may have taken on a lot of debt when they tried to expand the brand into Europe and throughout the US, and maybe with clothing lines, themed restaurants, etc...VERY possible the LLC is insolvent. But Sr. is probably not stupid, and his advisers aren't stupid, and it's a classic play to try and buy the company on the cheap before the returns on those investments start rolling in (no reason to buy back shares in a company you think is going down the tubes). Sr. doesn't strike me as one to keep the best set of books. But one has to ask the question - why doesn't Jr. hire his own valuation firm to take a look?
And my guess the reason Sr. isn't handing this company over to his sons: He doesn't trust them with his legacy. More directly, he probably doesn't trust them with the jobs of the 200 or so who rely on OCC for a paycheck. Jr. is talented but he's not a businessman
