I really like Shannon Brown, but his ceiling isn't that high. He's an energy guy who is full of athleticism. Will probably never be much more than that.
With that said, this is a really good signing for the Lakers. There was a thread about the Lakers signing Delonte and I said that I personally would rather have Brown than Delonte if I'm Phil Jackson. Brown knows his role, seems to get along with the current roster and knows what it takes to play for the Lakers.

Deep team, but only so many minutes to go around. Allows them to be fully rested for playoffs.
