It's looking like a very realistic chance that when my wife gets done with tech school here in t
Biloxi that the air force may be sending us to Guam. Sooo anyone ever been there??

Never been there, but I hope it won't "tip over and capsize " if you get stationed there. This guy knows quite a bit about it.

I haven't been there yet but probably deployment next year. I know a few people actually stationed there in the Navy but they hate it. I know the locals don't like the military.

On my way to Vietnam .. 2 day on the Airbase

Hot and very humid simply put .... It's a island i'm sure there are some great areas and beaches. As a small island after a few months what else can you see or do....

My dad was stationed there in the Air Force during the Korean War. Don't recall him ever having much to say about it either way, though. Sorry I can't be more help.

Wife has a friend who was there for two years in the mid 2000's while her husband was in the service. Her impression: like living in a small town in rural South Carolina - isolated and very conservative. The beaches were nice, but don't expect them to look like South Beach or San Diego.
