I've seen every episode multiple times, however, I noticed something tonight I hadn't thought of before. In "The Pen" Uncle Leo is shown with his wife Blanche. Later in the series Unce Leo is dating around. Was there ever any mention of what happened to Blanche? Thought? Other Seinfeld questions, thoughts, etc.

It wasn't Blanche it was Stella (Stella!) in The Pen episode (one of the few where George wasn't involved).

She wasn't mentioned again, either they divorced or she passed, but she wasn't mentioned again to my knowledge.

Good point...that's my bad on the name. It is odd...she just seems to have been written out.

I don't recall it being mentioned.

I watched The Pen last night as well. Funny episode.

It is the only episode that George was not in. Kramer was also absent, but he was not in The Chinese Restaurant too.

I don't think I remember them ever mentioning the wife again or whatever happened to her.

Great topic.....

I swear in one episode (can't remember for sure which one) Jerry mentions having a sister. I don't think they ever mentioned her again. What happened to her?

I remember Jerry giving tips when Leo was backing in the dating game. Wikipedia claims Stella only appeared in "The Pen" and was never mentioned again. Simple explanation is they just "changed" Leo's status to suit a plot (their was the anti-semite episode) and didn't feel it was necessary to explain.

Do they ever say where Elaine lives? Jerry and Kramer live in the Upper West Side, and George lives in Queens. During the "contest" episode with JFK jr., she mentioned that she lives downtown from Jerry's apartment, but I don't think they ever clarify.

On a tangent, the show "Friends" cracks me up. Most of them were unemployed, or struggling, or worked in a coffee shop, yet they could afford large multi-bedroom apartments in the Village, which would cost about $4,500 or so a month in rent.

During the show's early years, it seemed as if she also lived on the UWS, the episode where she struggled with a new 646 area code indicated that she moved downtown, as in downtown downtown - Village or Tribeca. As for George, his parents lived in Queens and there are episodes where he refers to living with his parents, but he also had his own apartment in many other episodes, I presume on UWS.

I believe in one of the episodes Monica mentions that the only reason she can afford where she lives is that her grandma owns the apt and she rents from her.

Never knew that! But what about Joey and Chandler? Joey hardly worked, and Chandler was a low-level manager at his company.

I thought Joey was a doctor.

Jerry Stiller was also not the original Frank Costanza. In the episode where George parks the car in the handicap spot Jerry Stiller is not the father. On the syndicated episodes the scense of Frank were reshot with Jerry Stiller.

The orginal was John Randolph, I believe.
