I'm looking forward to this game also.
I was working in upper Michigan and a guy was asking me about Big Red (he knew I was from the Ohio Valley). He was an Inster fan and was a little to proud of the victory last year.
I hope Big Red gets revenge big time! Thats right I pulling for Big Red!
I will be up to see him next spring for systen calibration and I don't want to hear about Michigan fooball!

We had week one open up when the Big Red-Creek game was canceled at the last minute. We needed a team and they were available. Besides, Reno wants revenge from last year. At least no one can accuse us of ducking teams that beat us.

The Big Red-Inkster game will be the first game of a double header in Harding Stadium. The second game will be between Steubenville Central and Bridgeport. There should be a nice crowd for those two games.

Ah, two-a-days! How I loved and loathed thoses grueling practices in the heat. It is hard for me to believe it has been 20 years since my senior year of high school. I remember guys not wanting to wash their gear just to see whose would get the dirtiest. There was a guy my sophomore year whose yellow practice jersey actually turned green from mold/mildew (not from the grass).

I am looking forward to watching some great high school football this upcoming season.

Don't forget about the band. They practice out in the hot sun, too. I have never seen a band member throw up, but I have seen a few pass out.

One of our best players, who just committed to play baseball for Kent State, got a ground ball to the face yesterday afternoon (I think), has a HUGE lip, stitches, teeth knocked out and/or swallowed, and had to have a root canal. Great stuff to be happening right at the beginning of 2-a-days. Haha! I hope he can recoop soon and that it doesn't affect his preparation on the gridiron. Good luck to him in his painful recovery.
