According to Buster, the Yanks are close to getting Kerry Wood.

Yep, both sides have agreed to terms and it's now awaiting league approval.

Two victories in one day for the Tribe!

And with the departure of Wood, the veteran on the staff becomes....Carmona (3 years).

In addition to Tomlin's great job, a tip of the hat to Choo for his big hit that ended up being the game winner and to Chris Perez for getting out of a shaky 9th for the save.

wow...can't wait to see how much we are paying to take him off our hands.

In other news, Cleveland and Columbus are in negotiations for the rights to use the name 'Clippers'.
The rumor is that the team can become politcally correct and save money on uniforms all at the same time........... (sarcasm alert)

I dont like this move. I guess he's going to be the bridge to Rivera, but he gives up runs at an astronomical rate sometimes and his BB/9 has been thru the roof this year

Yeah, Darby, if he pans out for your beloved Yankees, I will be real surprised.

Anyway we can nix this deal?

With how David Robertson pitched tonight I'm totally ok with him being our 8th inning guy.

If there's one positive to come from this move, Chan Ho Park was finally DFA'd. Thank God.

Tribe is still stuck paying 60% of his salary for what's left of this year. Kind of surprised about that as I thought this would be a straight salary dump in the "you can have him you just have to pay him" kind of way.

Look for Kerry Wood to regain his pre- Cleveland ability to come into the game and get people out. There is no doubt in my mind.
