Derek Jeter broke open a hotly contested 1-1 tie in the 6th, with an RBI single when Manny Acta elected to pitch to him with 1st base open. Manny obviously doesn't read the scouting reports or pay attention to stats, and apparently didn't care that following Jeter was Curtis Granderson, notoriously weak against left handed pitching.

The Yanks have added to the lead in the seventh.

Swisher with a double to lead off the 8th.

Yanks have finally broke it open offensively, but it was frustrating watching the lead off guy get on inning after inning and not score. Tribe bullpen has been taxed since Talbot left the game in the 3rd inning. Dustin Moseley threw very well in a spot start for New York, allowing only 1 run

Marte comes in and pitches a perfect 9th. Struck out Nick Swisher swinging

The good news: Marte gets a 1-2-3 inning.

The bad news: Marte pitching.

WTF is up with that? Ohhhh....the poor little million dollar pussies in the bull pen have sore arms....waaaa!

Well that's two days in a row that the starters haven't gone half the game....I smell call ups for this weekend series against the BJ's.

Marte had some nice downward movement on his pitches. Fuck, put him in the rotation.

you gotta find someway to save some pitching. Sometimes that means pitching a position player. Marte actually didn't do too terribly.

I wish New York would just DFA Chan Ho Park and get it over with. He only pitches in blowouts and I don't think he's recorded a 1-2-3 inning all year that I've watched him. That 9th inning made me wanna puke

I'm so upset that I left after the 7th, I can't believe I missed a hitter pitching.
